Jarred's Story
Jarred was on skates by age 3 and played through various 'Select' youth programs before attending high school at St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA) and finishing his hockey career at Niagara University (Niagara Falls, NY) in 2014. Graduating in the Summer of 2014, began officiating at the Junior and NCAA ranks in the Fall of 2014 and was selected to attend the NHL Officiating Combine in Buffalo, NY in Summer of 2016, and hired to work the ECHL that Fall. Jarred is one of the quickest hired officials from the Northeast; only working two full seasons before being promoted to the Professional level without having to work any USHL (Tier 1) or NAHL (Tier 2) Junior games under the USA Hockey 'Officiating Development Program' (ODP). In August of 2018, Jarred was selected among 14 Professional Officials in North America to officiate the NHL Rookie Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan. The prestigious NHL tournament is hosted annually by the Detroit Red Wings and invites seven other NHL franchises to display and scout their drafted prospect players and already NHL rostered players.
Today, Jarred continues to work high level games while operating Seacoast Hockey Officials. With the experiences through officiating, Jarred was asked to the District 2 Supervisor for the Massachusetts Officiating Program (US Hockey Officiating Development Satellite Program). Jarred is responsible for all USA Hockey Officials within the district in the State. Between Jarred's playing and officiating experiences, he is qualified and trusted by high members of the hockey world to oversee and train other officials at all levels.
