Our Assignors carefully match assignments to ensure every team member is in a role where they can learn, gain valuable experience, and hone their skills to reach their personal goals. With SHO, there’s no “shoot and slide” approach—no driving an hour out of your way for games. We prioritize assignments close to your location to make it worth your time and effort.

Perks of Joining SHO

Joining SHO offers more than just game assignments. As a member, you’ll enjoy additional perks such as discounts with local and national businesses, chances to win through raffles, exclusive events, and more!

A Supportive Environment for Growth

Our experienced staff is committed to your development. They offer advice, tips, and educational seminars designed to help you advance. Many of our team members are current and retired professional officials, bringing a wealth of knowledge that few associations can match. Take advantage of working with SHO and learn from staff who have been where you want to go and are eager to support your journey.

At Seacoast Hockey Officials (SHO), we take pride in providing high-quality officiating and scorekeeping across all levels of amateur hockey. We are actively seeking individuals who are reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining the integrity of the game.

Whether you’re looking to become an on-ice official or a scorekeeper, ideal candidates must demonstrate:

  • Strong Communication Skills – Clear, respectful communication with players, coaches, and fellow officials is essential.

  • Accountability & Dependability – We count on our team to show up on time, follow protocols, and take ownership of their assignments.

  • Willingness to Learn – We value candidates who are open to feedback, eager to improve, and dedicated to understanding client-specific rulebooks.

  • Professional Conduct – All members of SHO are expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism both on and off the ice.

  • Flexibility & Availability – Consistent availability, especially during nights and weekends, is strongly preferred.

No prior experience? No problem.

We offer training programs for new officials and scorekeepers, including a mandatory Beginner Seminar for those without certification or prior work history. If you’re passionate about hockey and ready to be part of a respected and growing team, we encourage you to apply.
