+ Job Description: Duties of the Referee is to supervise the game you are assigned to work. Supervising game entails skating on the ice with the players, with appropriate officiating gear and required uniform under the USA Hockey Rulebook and promote safety, fairness and good competition between both teams.


+ Experience: Experience is not required* but recommended to begin working immediately. S.H.O. will not allow new, inexperienced officials on the ice until they have registered and attended an USA Hockey Officiating Seminar to gain a Level 1 status or attend a "Beginners Levels" seminar hosted by Seacoast Hockey Officials Academy.


+ Working Conditions: Contractor is eligible to work 12-months of the year and understands travel to / from home to arenas is required to work this position.


+ Training: All new Contractors will be eligible to enroll in a free "Beginners Level" seminar hosted by Seacoast Hockey Officials Academy. (NOTE: USA Hockey Seminar is not free!)

+ Job Description: Duties of the Scorekeeper is to be the "Off-Ice Official" for our crew in each game. Scorekeepers are the "Eyes and Ears" for the Supervisors each night to know every location is operating smoothly.


Duties include:

  • Reporting to Arena 15 min prior to game to confirm rink is on time, Referees and Teams are present
  • Check-in Team Rosters
  • Operate Score Clock
  • Manage Game Sheet (Online / Paper)
  • Know Rules and Offer Assistance to On-Ice Officials
  • Communicate with Assignor



+ Experience: Experience is not required* but recommended to begin working immediately. S.H.O. will not allow new, inexperienced Scorekeepers games until they have properly trained with another Scorekeepers in our "Shadow" program.


+ Working Conditions: Contractor is eligible to work 12-months of the year and understands travel to / from home to arenas is required to work this position.


+ Training: All inexperienced Scorekeepers will be required to "Shadow" a Seacoast Scorekeeper for 1-night. Trainee will sit and learn the duties of a Scorekeeper.

NOTE: Training does not compensate! Compensation begins once training is complete!

S.H.O. looks for a variety of students with different back grounds of studies that can benefit with working with a small business in the Sports Industry to help grow and prepare for the next chapter in their lives after school.


Students studying Sports Management, Business, Accounting, Web Design, Photo / Video, and Event Planning, but not limited to, are invited to apply for a position no later than:


  • Fall / Winter Internship: August 1st


  • Summer Internship: April 1st



PLEASE NOTE

*** Internships do not offer a salary, but can offer possible commission based pay depending on the roles and experience.


*** Internship will primarily work remote, but will be required to attend events throughout the course of the internship period. (Dates will be communicated 2-weeks in advance and travel pay will be paid)
